Production Deployment Gate

Status: GREEN

A temporary GitHub-hosted Actions check fetched the real public Pages homepage and verified that it contains the exact build marker for launch commit:

0bb1fc1fb5b08b9531fc4f0e35944d46e369f111

The successful verification run was launch-day-live-check run 4 (31289903133).

This execution pass also found a false-negative bug in the permanent Pages freshness check. The workflow used set -o pipefail with printf ... | grep -q; when grep found the marker and exited early, printf could receive a broken pipe and cause the pipeline to report failure. The permanent deployment workflow is fixed in the launch-day baseline PR to use a pipe-free here-string match.

Replace these implementation/product-specific topics:

This brings the repository topic set in line with the Phase 3 recommendation.

Release Audit

The GitHub API returned one published release:

v1.0.0 — Public Handbook Launch

The 2026.08 Launch Edition is not yet published as a GitHub Release.

Recommended release title:

2026.08 Launch Edition — AI Coding Cheat Sheets, MCP, Prompts and Workflows

Use 2026.08 Launch Edition release notes as the release body.

Social Preview

The current GitHub API/connector surface does not expose the repository social-preview configuration. Confirm the configured preview manually in repository settings before broad social distribution.

Release Package

Use:

First Public Asset

The first distribution link should be the AI Coding Tools Comparison Matrix, not the repository homepage:

Day-0 Publishing Order

With production freshness green, complete the remaining manual GitHub settings/release actions and then publish in this order:

  1. Apply the recommended About text and topic replacements.
  2. Confirm the repository social preview.
  3. Publish the 2026.08 Launch Edition GitHub Release.
  4. Publish a GitHub Discussion using the prepared release-announcement copy.
  5. Publish the primary LinkedIn comparison post.
  6. Publish the X/short-form comparison post later as a separate channel test, not an identical simultaneous blast.
  7. Consider Hacker News only after the release and production links are stable; use the prepared Show HN framing and stay available for technical discussion.
  8. Use Reddit only where the comparison directly answers a real discussion and the community rules permit self-promotion.

Launch Guardrails

  • no bought stars
  • no star-for-star exchanges
  • no mass DMs
  • no repetitive cross-posting
  • no unsupported “best tool” claims
  • disclose maintainership where community context requires it
  • lead with useful technical material before the repository CTA
